1) When does the NPYBA Season begin and end? The 2025 NPYBA Season will begin on Sunday, January 5, 2025 and end on March 9, 2025. Games will be held every Sunday from 10am to 4pm (based on Grade order).
2) When does the clinic season begin and end? The first clinics will be held on Sunday January 5, 2025 to March 9, 2025. Clinics will be held every Sunday from 10am to 12pm (based on Grade order).
3) Where are the games and clinics held? The games and clinics will be held at the SUNY New Paltz Athletic and Wellness Center. The Clinics will be located in the Elting Gym and the Games in the Main Gym.
4) Will there be practices for teams? Yes, there will be practices for the 2025 season. The practice schedules will be published the end of November after teams are confirmed and all players have been assigned. Practices will begin the first week of December 2024.
5) Does my child need to know how to play basketball to join? NO! NPYBA is a recreational league with the goal of teaching children the basic rules of basketball along with the love for the game.
6) Can my child play-up a division? The board will consider requests and will largely depend on the number of sign-ups per grade.
7) Will my child receive a uniform? Registration fees includes a team jersey. NPYBA is not responsible of a lost or incorrectly ordered jersey.
8) Are teammate and coach request accepted? In order to be able to create balanced teams, requests are not accepted. All leagues are “draft” leagues. If siblings are in the same division, they can request to be places on the same team.
9) How do we register? Please click the “REGISTER HERE” banner or the log in button and follow the instructions that follow. All Registrations will be done through TEAM SNAP.
10) When does Registration end? Registration will end of November 15, 2024.
11) Are late registrations accepted? At this time, we will accept late registrations, please contact npyba@yahoo.com for any requests.
12) When will players be assigned to team and know the coach? Players will be assigned to teams in late December and will receive an email to confirm what team they are on via TEAM SNAP.
13) When will be schedule be created for the 2024 season? The schedule will be created after all players are assigned and coaches review by end of November.
14) What grades does NPYBA encompass? NPYBA has basketball options for all students from Grades 1-12.
15) What are the Registration Fees per player? Clinics = $85 / Games = $110
16) Do we need volunteers? YES!! We need coaches for all divisions. Please reach out if you are interested!
17) Player evaluations are for the Games divisions (Grades 4 -12). We strongly encourage all players to attend evaluations. Player evaluations assist us in creating balanced teams so the game is fun for all. Player evaluations will be held on November 16th at Lenape Elementary. Please check our website periodically for date/time/location.
